The most watched Turkish TV series on Netflix was The Tailor (Terzi), starring Çağatay Ulusoy. Netflix, which decided to periodically publish the views of its entire catalog, also announced the second six-month report of 2023.
According to the report, the most watched series was One Piece, which was watched for more than half a billion hours and reached just under 72 million total views. Unlike the initial report, Netflix ranked titles by “views” to align with how it reports its weekly Top 10 lists. Netflix continues to release the seasons of the series separately.
Other productions in the top 10 in the second half of the year are Dear Child, Lupine: Part 3, The Witcher Season 3, Sex Education Season 4, Beckham, Who is Erin Carter?, CoComelon Season 8, Virgin River Season 5. and The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2. Non-English titles accounted for nearly a third of all viewings, underlining Netflix’s strength around the world.
The highest ranked domestic TV series on the list was Terzi, starring Çağatay Ulusoy, Salih Bademci and Şifanur Gül. Season 2, which started on July 28, ranked 64th with 90,000,000 hours watched/16,700,000 views. Thus, it achieved the highest ranking for domestic TV series. The first season, which was released on May 2, ranked 126th with 55,300,000 hours watched/11,600,000 views. The third and final season, which was released on November 3, ranked 139th with 56,000,000 hours watched/11,000,000 views.
Leave the World Behind ranked first on the movie list with 286,300,000 million hours watched/121,000,000 views. Among local films, Last Call for Istanbul, starring Beren Saat and Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ, ranked 74th with 35,500,000 hours watched/23,400,000 views.
The first six-month report of the platform came in December 2023, and in the report covering the first half of the year, the highest ranking was Who Were We Running Away From, Mother? obtained the series. In the first report, productions were ranked according to the total hours watched.
