We announced in October 2023 that the Spanish adaptation of the series Cesur ve Guzel, starring Kivanc Tatlitug and Tuba Buyukustun, would come. The shooting of “La encrucijada”, prepared in cooperation with Ay Yapım, Secuoya Studios and Atresmedia TV, will take place in Madrid and the Canary Islands.
La encrucijada stars Astrid Janer and Rodrigo Guirao. The duo, who play Amanda and César respectively, portray two young people from rival families who carry the wounds of the past. After living in Mexico for over twenty years, César has just returned to seek justice for his father’s death. He never expected to meet Amanda Oramas, the heiress of his enemy.
The series will be broadcast on Antena 3 channel within Atresmedia and on the digital platform Atresplayer. Madd Entertainment will handle international distribution.
The cast includes Abel Folk, Isabel Serrano, Cristóbal Suárez, Candela Márquez, Paula Prendes, Antonio Velázquez, Silvia Marsó, Anna Silvetti, Samantha Siquieros or Ignacio Montes, Ángela Chica, Mauricio Abad, Saida Santana, Óscar de la Fuente, Raúl Sanz, Eduardo Velasco and David V. Muro are also present.
The series, executive produced by Eduardo Galdo and Montse García, is directed by Alexandra Graf, and the episode directors are Moisés Ramos, María Cereceda and Jacobo Martos. Co-produced by Lele Portas, the script team of La encrucijada is coordinated by Joana Martínez Ortueta.
