Turkish TV series are in the top 10 in 11 countries!

According to TIAK’s research; 25 Turkish TV series achieved great success by being among the top 10 most watched programs in 11 countries for a year.

TİAK, which organizes television viewing research in Turkey, announced the results of the Turkey Television Audience Measurement Survey. According to the data, the average television viewing time in the world was 2 hours 54 minutes, while in Turkey it was 4 hours 33 minutes. Compared to 2019, the average television viewing time increased by 19 minutes in 2020, when the pandemic was experienced in Turkey. Among all viewers, the TV series had the highest total viewing share with 29% and children’s programs with 21.1%.

Turkish TV series gained great success as the focus of attention abroad as well. 25 Turkish TV series were among the top 10 most watched programs in 11 countries throughout 2020. Among these TV series, “Bir Zamanlar Çukurova”, “Istanbullu Gelin” and “Sen Anlat Karadeniz” managed to enter the list in 2 countries. In addition, the productions of ‘Istanbullu Gelin’, ‘Fazilet Hanım ve Kızları , ‘Beni Affet’, ‘İkizler Memo-Can’ and Siyah Beyaz aşk took the second place among all programs in the countries where they were broadcast.

“Bir Zamanlar Çukurova”, starring Hilal Altınbilek, became the most watched production in 3 countries.

Istanbullu Gelin It was listed in 2 countries.

Sen Anlat Karadeniz TV series placed in the top rank, leaving its competitors behind in 2 countries.
